The Taber V-5 Stiffness Tester is used to determine rigidity (or resistance to bending), resiliency and the bending moment of flexible materials. Primarily used in the paper and board industry, this instrument can be used to test many flexible materials, including:

  • The Taber V-5 Stiffness Tester can evaluate flexible materials up to 5.5mm (0.219”) thick, which do not exceed 10,000 Stiffness Units.
  • To test extremely lightweight materials the High-Sensitivity Attachment (S.R. Attachment) is required.
